You are on the hunt of a lifetime and you accidentally touch your broadhead to your string. You are taking your one-week of vacation to hunt with your friends and your buddy dry-fires your bow. If there isn’t a bow shop within driving distance, your hunt is over – but not if you’re shooting an Elite bow. No matter where you are or what happened to your bow, Elite will send a bow to you at no charge the very next day so that you can finish your hunt. This bow is on loan from Elite Archery and not intended to replace your damaged bow. The loaner bow will arrive with the customers requested draw weight and length, with a rest, sight and peep installed. The bow will be tuned and ready to shoot. It will only need to be sighted in with the customer’s arrows.

Hey guys its Anthony here,

I wanted to remind everyone that the Mule Deer Foundation will be having their annual “End of Year Banquet” at BCATB. They will be giving away thousands of dollars in prizes in the form of a raffle. You will have the opportunity to put your raffle ticket into a box associated with the prize you would like to win. Also some AMAZING hunts will be raffled off, and if you have never had the opportunity to attend one of these banquets you will most certainly enjoy yourself.

I would also like to say what a pleasure it is to have the opportunity to be working with the Mule Deer Foundation, and help give back to the preservation of Mule Deer here in the United States. I have witnessed some of the work they have done in the Book Cliffs and it is amazing what hard work and dedication can do. When you see the work being done, it is easier to justify helping them out financially.

Oh, and the food will be amazing as well!!!

Talk to you soon,

Anthony

Hey guys its Anthony here. I am excited to tell you about the new changes for 2012. We are adding a total of 30 targets to the Intermediate courses. There will also be a half way point in the course that will allow some of you to head back to the Plaza Deck if need be. You are going to be able to take your kids with you. The courses will have set yardages ranging from 10-50 yards. We ask that if you do have kids with you, to let the kids shoot last this way they are accompanied by you and can shoot whichever yardages they like. Adding ten more targets to the course this year will bring you more fun and will allow you to stay on the course for an extra hour or so. The shots will be realistic with picturesque views so we hope you enjoy the scenery and the shots alike. I also would encourage you to bring your cameras to capture the fun. There will be challenging shots both physically and mentally so bring your “A” game.

I am really excited to unveil the 46Rail Mountain Mile!!! This is a 5 person shoulder to shoulder start. We are taking 50 competitors for this years race. The races will take place on Friday with the Quarter/Semi’s. On Saturday morning the Semifinal race will be ran. The Final race will be ran on Saturday afternoon. The winner will be based on shot accuracy and time on course. The winner will cross the finish line on Saturday afternoon and will be crowned the “46Rail Mountain Man”. This will be a very hard and fast course for the racers. Spectators are encouraged to watch these guys go head to head against one another. You will be able to see both start and finish lines as well as most of the shooting stations from the designated spectator area. Bring your binoculars or spotting scopes to get a real up close view of each shot taken by the athletes, or you are allowed to walk along side the course and form a gallery for each shot.

I am very excited to see everyone!! Please keep posted to see the other new aspects for this year. See you soon.

Anthony

Still Estimating Arrow Speed and Energy? Measure it!

Full Flight Technology (FFT) was founded by archers with a straightforward goal: to provide manufacturers, archery pros and individual archers with hi-tech but easy to use tools to improve the understanding of arrow speed, flight dynamics and bow performance.

Bob Donahoe, FFT’s founder believes that today’s technology should offer a great deal more than currently available from paper tuning, chronographs and hypothetical estimates of arrow downrange ballistic performance. That is why he invented and developed a first of its kind in-flight ballistic measurement system.

FFT’s patent pending VELOCITIP Ballistic System is the first to employ an arrow mounted device to provide information about an arrow’s flight characteristics. FFT teamed with a world class team of researchers and engineers in the Wireless Sensor Group at Tyndall National Institute in Cork, Ireland to develop the system which includes the following innovations:

First electronic field point

First system to record arrow ballistics throughout flight

First Kinetic Energy calculator using measured impact ballistics

First system to provide measured launch and impact values for every shot

First system to provide measured time of flight (measured to 0.01 milliseconds)

First system to provide measured average velocity for the arrow’s flight

First system to provide the arrow drag coefficient

Pioneering the use of microelectronics and accelerometers in the field of archery, FFT is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts in a center of research and development. Each VELOCITIP Ballistic System is assembled, tested and individually calibrated in the U.S.
