Full Flight Technology West of the Rockies!

Still Estimating Arrow Speed and Energy?  Measure it!

Full Flight Technology (FFT) was founded by archers with a straightforward goal: to provide manufacturers, archery pros and individual archers with hi-tech but easy to use tools to improve the understanding of arrow speed, flight dynamics and bow performance.

Bob Donahoe, FFT’s founder believes that today’s technology should offer a great deal more than currently available from paper tuning, chronographs and hypothetical estimates of arrow downrange ballistic performance. That is why he invented and developed a first of its kind in-flight ballistic measurement system.

FFT’s patent pending VELOCITIP Ballistic System is the first to employ an arrow mounted device to provide information about an arrow’s flight characteristics.  FFT teamed with a world class team of researchers and engineers in the Wireless Sensor Group at Tyndall National Institute in Cork, Ireland to develop the system which includes the following innovations:

  • First electronic field point
  • First system to record arrow ballistics throughout flight
  • First Kinetic Energy calculator using measured impact ballistics
  • First system to provide measured launch and impact values for every shot
  • First system to provide measured time of flight (measured to 0.01 milliseconds)
  • First system to provide measured average velocity for the arrow’s flight
  • First system to provide the arrow drag coefficient

Pioneering the use of microelectronics and accelerometers in the field of archery, FFT is located in Cambridge, Massachusetts in a center of research and development.  Each VELOCITIP Ballistic System is assembled, tested and individually calibrated in the U.S.
